Today I ‘tell you about an expert in one of the disciplines of my career. She
is Forestry, she has a Master in Management and environmental planning at
University of Chile, besides, she is Doctor in Agricultural Sciences with
specialization in Economics in Natural Resources at University of Göttingen of
Germany. She is Claudia Cerda Jiménez. She has different investigation in the
area of the ecosystem services, as, economic evaluation of environmental
services through of Techniques of declared preferences, environmental
education, vision socio-psychological of the economic evaluation of
environmental services, management of protected areas, among others.
She is a
excellent teacher and investigator, in the first class with Claudia, she made
us reflect about different problems that exist throughout history of Chile. She
mentions the importance of conserve the environment through the incorporate of human
welfare in the different analysis of an investigation, because, the only
effective way for conservation the environment it is through involucrate of
human preferences. Since that moment I realized of the importance of
conservation of environment through ecosystem services.
The ecosystem
services it is a field that I want develop in the future incorporate the
economic, social, cultural and environmental context.
definitely the ecosystem services is a important theme in the career!
